Great Danes are known as gentle giants due to their calm disposition and large size. They are one of the largest breeds registered with AKC and stand taller than most humans. They are sweet, but also make great guard dogs.

We show and selectively breed Black Great Danes.
Our Danes are family first. Their lifetime happiness and well being is our priority. Our Danes are not kennel dogs but live in our home with us. We will only place our puppies in homes with families committed to doing the same. No exceptions.
We are proud of not only the dogs we have bred, but of our families that have committed to giving a Velocity Great Dane an amazing life as their loved family member.
We follow the Great Dane Club of America Breeder Code of Ethics and are members of the Great Dane Club of America and the Great Dane Club of Arizona. Our Danes will only be registered with the AKC.
Our Danes used for breeding are normally AKC Champions as we believe in the evaluation of our breeding stock. We have fun showing our Danes and being involved in the Great Dane community of responsible breeders whose goals are to preserve our amazing breed. However, if we see potential in a non champion Dane or we feel we can carry forward a trait we would like to keep, we will use a non Champion Dane to move forward with.
After age two our Danes are health tested and the results posted on the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) website and CHIC numbers issued. We have our vets use an echocardiogram for Heart testing as that gives a better picture of heart health. Blood is taken for a full Thyroid panel. Eyes are dilated and checked for hereditary eye diseases. Any eye issues noted will always be listed on the OFA database in breeder notes. X-rays are taken of Shoulders, Hips and Elbows. We strive to help better each generation by health testing and carefully researching pedigrees in order to select the best pairing. Our goal is to produce Great Danes that are healthy, well tempered, well structured and have longevity.

MICHEALSON FAMILY DANES
Michaelson family Danes is a state registered Great Dane specialized in breeding this beautiful breed we have been in this act for over 15 years helping about 100 families with this gentle lovies
Our puppies are neurologically stimulated which produces dogs who have healthier cardiovascular performance.
This means stronger hearts, stronger adrenal glands, increased tolerance to stress, and greater resistance to disease.
Our puppies are naturally weaned by the mother (not typical of most breeders) producing pups who have an increase in self-control, relational comfort with other dogs, patience, and attention span… while also experiencing a decrease in aggression towards people and other dogs.
Our puppies are constantly exposed to common noises and sounds such as children playing & crying, vacuum cleaners, thunderstorms, and fireworks.
This helps to produce a dog who is confident, calmer and less stressed… all of which makes for easier trainability.
Although we do raise show quality dogs, we are most dedicated to the health, temperament, and happiness of families adopting from us.
We plan only a few litters or just one each year, so that every puppy can have the attention and care they deserve.
